Maryam Taba Studios is honored to announce the opening of Letters to Light: Written for the Unseen, a solo exhibition by Iranian artist Rahil Beige. This exhibition invites viewers into a contemplative realm where the spiritual traditions of Persian calligraphy meet the mystic poetry of Rumi, Hafez, and Saadi—transforming sacred verse into visual form.
Through her distinctive use of ink, repetition, and intentional silence, Beigee bridges poetry and abstraction, tradition and contemporary expression. Her works become meditative spaces that transcend language, inviting each viewer to connect with a shared sense of longing, memory, and divine presence.
To mark the opening, a live whirling performance will be presented by Sahar Majidi, a renowned dancer and yoga master with years of experience rooted in the mystical traditions of Turkey. Her graceful movement brings the exhibition’s themes to life, offering an embodied expression of devotion and spiritual rhythm.
Letters to Light opens on Mary 31, with a reception from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM at Maryam Taba Studios. The exhibition will remain on view through June 30, 2025, offering guests an intimate encounter with calligraphy as a portal to the unseen.
